Sebastian tapped his hand against the top of the bar, a grin tugging at his lips as he turned to look at Blaine for a moment, “Consider it done,” he nodded, raising a hand to get the bartenders attention and order them both another round of drinks. It usually took him a lot more than a couple of drinks to get him buzzed, so he figured he’d be okay, besides, tonight was all about Blaine and helping him forget about whatever bad day he’d been having. He could totally do that.

He shrugged his shoulders as Blaine’s question, taking a moment to look around the rest of the club, it wasn’t as if there was anyone else in here tonight worth his interest, especially not when Blaine was stood this close to him. So, he turned back to look at Blaine and gave him his usual smile, “Nothing as dramatic as you, Killer, I’m afraid you’re the only one who’s drowning their sorrows tonight, i just wanted to get out of the house. And since this is Lima’s only gar bar, my options were pretty limited,”

Blaine blinked as Sebastian ordered them another round before he was even finished choking down the few last sips of his first drink.  Oh well.  They were both here to get a drink (or two..or..maybe more..who knows?) and he didn’t necessarily want either one of them to stop.  Not yet anyway.  Sebastian deserved a drink just for offering to put up with his miserable self. Mental note to himself that he owed buying Sebastian a round next time.

Sebastian’s turning to glance at the body of the club behind him drew Blaine’s attention from the corner of his eye and he shifted to look up at his friend’s profile. For a moment he wondered if Sebastian knew how grateful he was to have him in his life.  Knowing himself? He’d end up telling him if he got to the bottom of a few drinks.  A drunk him was a lovey him.  No hope for escape!  He gave Sebastian a lopsided half-smile, brows flinching upwards in time with his shoulders.  “Thanks for giving me the chance to,” their drinks were slid across the bar and Blaine blindly reached for his not looking away from the taller of the pair, “Well.  I promise not to damper your night too much with my mood.  I mean..I’m here to forget right?   Which means we are going to have to dance later.”  His smile widened. “Maybe?”

Sebastian shrugged in response, turning his body to the side so that he could look at Blaine properly, he knew tonight was mostly about cheering Blaine up, but he couldn’t resist checking him out with him stood this close. His lips curled up into his signature smirk, as he raised his glass to his lips, taking a small sip, before finally speaking up. “I figured you could use a drink after the day you’ve had,”

He reached out, giving him a reassuring pat on the shoulder, before leaning back a little on his bar stool. “Now this is better than wallowing at home, right Killer?” he asked with a grin, “So how about we get a few more of those inside of you, and we can hit the dance floor, and you can put today all behind you, hm?”

His glass rose up in time with Sebastian’s so he could return the tip with a small tuck of his chin towards his collar in thanks before taking a small inhale of the drink and downing his first sip. The liquor was stronger than he was used to but there was a sweetness to it that made it more palatable and less embarrassingly cringeworthy if he’d have choked on it.  A sweep of his tongue over his bottom lip erased the traces of it from his skin before he smirked down at the contents inside the glass.  Both brows shot up in the affirmative and the second sip was more than enough of a ‘you’re right’ than he ever could have said out loud.

Today was a day he’d come here to forget.  For a plethora of reasons he’d rather not think about (sort of negated the whole forgetting part–didn’t it?).  Blaine smiled at the pat and let his weight rest against Sebastian’s shoulder for just a moment–another thanks, another means of just showing he was glad for the invite–and he was climbing up onto the stool to perch beside his friend.  “I’m not sure I’m up for dancing but a few more of these,” the bottom of the glass rocked back and forth in his hand, “and I might be.”  They could both hope?  “By the way..  What are you doing here tonight?”

Sebastian’s night was definitely taking a turn for the better as he slipped his phone into his back pocket. He’d been waiting for his chance to lure Blaine away from gay-face and it seemed like tonight was his lucky night. He’d always believed that Blaine was far too good for the likes of Hummel, and it was only a matter of time before Blaine realised that for himself.

He raised his hand to get the attention of the bar tender, ordering himself another drink and something extra strong for Blaine – he’d need it today if things had been as bad as he’d said – then gave him an extra generous tip on the basis that he wouldn’t allow their glasses to run dry all evening. Then he waited, turning around slightly in his seat and scoping out the rest of the bar, none of them could even compete with the likes of Blaine, he wasn’t sure why he was even wasting his time with them, but he had to find something to occupy his time.

Blaine stared at the last message on his phone before taking a deep breath and tucking it in his back pocket.  The clock above the kitchen stove read 10:46.  With how awake he was, sleep wasn’t going to be an option and Sebastian offered a means of coping with the quiet in his house by simply not being there.  His fist closed around his keys and he left the lights glowing in the empty house fading away in his rearview mirror.

Scandals wasn’t a place he went to often.  His first visit didn’t end well.  A beer and a mistake he wished he never made had Blaine deciding that bars were probably not his thing. Yet, here he was.  Squeezing his cellphone like it was the edge of a security blanket and wandering through the crowd until he saw Sebastian.  Waving to get his attention, the former Warbler stepped past the jukebox and bellied up to the bar beside the taller boy.  “Sebastian.  Hello.”  Noticing him right away, the drink Sebastian ordered slid across the bar with a wink from the bartender. Blaine blinked down at it.  “Oh, wow.  ..Um..  Thanks. That was fast.  Did you pay this guy off or what,” he tried to lift his voice and playfully jab at his friend like there wasn’t a single weight on his shoulders.

[Text – Blaine] Of course it’s the right thing to do, you don’t want to say the wrong thing if tempers are just high, do you?
[Text – Blaine] Killer, I don’t think you could ever put a dampener on my night. Come on, we’ll have fun. I’ll have a drink waiting for you at the bar.

( mssg » sebastian | sent ) No.  I don’t want to say the wrong thing.
( mssg » sebastian | sent ) That’s how this whole mess started.
( mssg » sebastian | sent ) Okay.  Let me get ready.  I look like a wreck.
( mssg » sebastian | sent ) See you soon.  And, by the way, thank you.

seb.

[Text – Blaine] Don’t beat yourself up over it, Killer. Worst things have happened
[Text – Blaine] I’m positive, you talk about things now, you’re only going to make things worse. Trust me, I know about these things.
[Text – Blaine] Great. Come meet me, I’m at Scandals, this place could use livening up anyway.

( mssg » sebastian | sent ) It’s just hard not to..
( mssg » sebastian | sent ) Well..  Maybe I’ll let it wait until morning.  Give things a chance to calm down.  I hope it’s the right thing to do.  Making it worse is the last thing I want.
( mssg » sebastian | sent ) Meet you at Scandals?  Are you sure I’m not going to put a damper on your night?

sebastian.

[Text – Blaine] What could you have possibly done that was so bad?
[Text – Blaine] Talking is the last thing you should do
[Text – Blaine] Not at all, but I do think you need to get out of this funk. You need to get out, let your hair down, forget about things for a while….

( mssg » sebastian | sent ) I accused him of doing something that he’d never do.  I’ve just been holding way too much in lately and it all came out at the worst possible time in the worst way.
( mssg » sebastian | sent ) Are you sure?  Because I feel like I should.
( mssg » sebastian | sent ) You’re right.  I do.  Before I drive myself and everyone around me crazy.

sebastian.

[Text – Killer] I might not need to listen to your relationship troubles, doesn’t mean I don’t want to.
[Text – Killer] So what’s going on? And don’t try and fob me off again.

( mssg » sebastian | sent ) I appreciate that but I’m sure you have a million other things you’d rather talk about..
( mssg » sebastian | sent ) Okay.  Sorry.  I’ll stop..
( mssg » sebastian | sent ) Kurt and I had a rough day.  We’re not seeing eye to eye about something and it caused a fight.  I hurt him and I want to fix things.  We made a promise after our first argument that we wouldn’t let something like this sit so they end up getting worse.  And we did that.  Are doing it.  I don’t know.  I need to let him know I’m sorry and that maybe we should talk.
( mssg » sebastian | sent ) Regretting saying you wanted to hear this out yet?

sebastian.

[Text – Killer] And you want me to be the reliever of all that stress? Consider it done, Killer.
[Text – Killer] You want to fill me in on what’s going on with you, first?

( mssg » sebastian | sent ) Sebastian.  I’m sorry!  Ignore that.

( mssg » sebastian | sent ) I didn’t mean to send it to you.  Just having a rough past few days and got my messages mixed up.
( mssg » sebastian | sent ) It’s nothing.  Well.  It’s something.  Just a “something” I need to work out.  I don’t think you need to listen to my relationship troubles, though. Thank you for the offer.
