afternoon visit. @smirkingsmythe

Knocking felt completely redundant seeing as how as soon as he pulled up to the house–Blaine sent Sebastian a text letting him know he was outside.  The drive wasn’t too far. They lived close to one another and he left quickly considering no one was home to say goodbye to.  Even a pitstop at Starbucks didn’t tack too much time on.  He didn’t want to show up empty handed. So?  Sebastian’s favorite coffee–considering it was what he ordered every time they were in a coffee place together–and something for himself would do.  Oh!  A bag with two brownies inside hung against the cup in his left hand.

Plus, it helped him not feet as guilty for the reason he was here if he made it a ‘stop and hang out’ sort of deal.  Rather than a ‘stop and help the Warblers with a play list to possibly beat your own Glee Club if you pick just the right songs and they blow the socks off the judges’ kind. God, Sebastian better make good on his promise.  Or he was going to feel awful trying to explain this away to Kurt and a dozen betrayed friends who would never forgive him.  Hazel eyes looked up as the door swung open and Sebastian appeared.  “Hello, Sebastian.”  Blaine smiled after a brief pause where all he did was feel the temperature on his cheeks kick up a notch.  Why’d that happen every single time when he first saw him? It was frustratingly embarrassing.  “I didn’t know what else to bring so? I brought–um–,” he lifted the cups up, “caffeine and chocolate.”

Sebastian: I’ll do my best.
Sebastian: Sounds great. You see, my parents are out of town so I’ve been living like the true king I am. I’ll get the house nice and pretty for you.
Blaine: Thank you. I’m holding you to this. So try really hard.
Blaine: “True king” you are? Wow. Okay. I’ll be there in about an hour. You don’t have to do anything to the house. I’m sure it’s more than fine the way it is.

Sebastian: Blaine, you flatter me.
Sebastian: Yeah, yeah. Fine. Just know that it’s taking a lot out of me then. So when are you coming over, cutie?
Blaine: I’m sure if you try hard, you can manage. Promise?
Blaine: I can be there after I finish dinner. My father is in town and has colleagues coming over for the evening.

Sebastian: One of my various talents. You didn’t need to admit anything to me. That much is clear.
Sebastian: You and I both know that what they don’t know, won’t hurt them. Plus it’d totally give us an excuse to hang out together. Which needs to happen soon.
Blaine: Well. Then if you hone your “talents” into the Warblers, you can stop thinking they need any sort of perfecting. When they’re already perfect. 😛
Blaine: Fine. But don’t you dare broadcast it to anyone that we’re doing this. Not even as a taunt. They’d never trust me again.. Promise?

Sebastian: They’re alright. They’re getting whipped into shape regardless. Oh, your team? The one that you left for public school? Now now, Blaine, I think they’re mine. 😉
Sebastian: Perhaps, perhaps not. We’re also friends, Blaine. Who said friends can’t help friends, especially for a little healthy competition?
Blaine: The Warblers don’t need whipping into shape. I was talking about New Directions since–. Wait. I think I got confused. You seem to have the knack for it. I shouldn’t have admitted that but I’ll go out on a limb and do it once.
Blaine: True. Just helping a friend. Nothing wrong with that. Ugh. Okay. There is everything wrong with it. I shouldn’t. Competition is the objective word.

Sebastian: I could keep going but I’m gonna spare you for now.
Sebastian: They sure are. They could be a /lot/ better though. A bit sloppy, but that’s besides the point. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I have this peculiar little blazer that would fit the cute little frame of yours. Just saying. We’ve just got to pick our song choices. That in itself is /such/ a responsibility.
Blaine: Thank you for that kindness. They’re good! Admit it! Yes. They need some fine tuning but don’t we all? You be nice. That’s my team you’re talking about.
Blaine: I–. Song choices.. Um. Is it a conflict of interest that my stomach just dropped because I wish I could offer to help you out? Yeah.. It is.

Sebastian: I wonder how much longer until the next time.
Sebastian: Really now? I never really took you as much of a top. Boom. Anyways, it’s rather well. The Warblers have never been better. Well, I assume since you were here. All I can say is McKinley should be a bit afraid.
Blaine: Who knows? Probably not too long. Oh God. I should have seen that coming. Why didn’t I catch myself? No comment.
Blaine: Of course the Warblers are and always will be phenomenal. With or without me. I’m sure they’re in good hands with you. Aren’t they? I’ll warn New Directions. Tell them we need to up our game if we’re going to have the slightest chance.

Sebastian: You might’ve mentioned it a time or two.
Sebastian: Well, I’ve been on quite the Grey’s Anatomy kick. It’s pretty repetitive so I’m sure you’re much better than what Shonda Rhimes can offer me in this moment. Think you can help?
Blaine: Okay. Good. Just checking.
Blaine: I can give it a try. Topping Grey’s Anatomy is a tall order but let’s give it a go. How is Dalton treating you?

Sebastian: Aw, it’s cute when you text out my first and last name. Well, you see, I’m incredibly bored. So I figured that instead of wasting my time away with Netflix I’d do something much more productive. Aka you. Texting, of course.
Blaine: Cute? Have I told you within the last couple of days that you’re awfully odd?
Blaine: Uh–what? Oh! Yeah! I’d hope talking with me could /possibly/ be better than Netflix. Though I make no promises. Depends on what show it is. 🙂

Sebastian: Blaine, I’m in a bit of a predicament. Only the iconic Blaine Warbler can help me through this. More emphasis on the Warbler part if nothing else.
Blaine: Hello, Sebastian Smythe. Emphasis on the Sebastian part if nothing else? 🙂 What sort of predicament are you in? Anything I can do to help?
