text â blaine ; No offense taken.      text â blaine ; Though we should probably change the subject.      text â blaine ; Howâs Tina?      text â blaine ; đ
( mssg » kurt | sent ) Good.. Thank you. ( mssg » kurt | sent ) Yeah. I think we should. Definitely.
[nearly two hours later.] ( mssg » kurt | sent ) Tina is Tina. You know how she can be but sheâs a good friend and means well. Mostly. ( mssg » kurt | sent ) Currently, sheâs my lifesaver. Sheâs coming over tonight to keep me company. My parents are out of town and she has a soup she swears is going to get rid of this cold once and for all. ( mssg » kurt | sent )
text â blaine ; Me, tooo.      text â blaine ; Iâm glad weâre in agreement. đ      text â blaine ; Even though youâre definitely going to have to catch up before I see you. đ      text â blaine ; Ask away.
( mssg » kurt | sent ) We are, definitely, in agreement. ( mssg » kurt | sent ) I know Iâm probably crossing every line that exists.. ( mssg » kurt | sent ) Or maybe Iâm just a glutton for punishment but.. ( mssg » kurt | sent ) When you say âfriends with benefits’? Do you mean, you know..?
The cheerleaderâs eyes narrowed. He probably had a point. Lack of options aside, even Kurt couldnât quite possibly deny the local Starbucks had begun to aim for mediocre.  â You were obviously trying to get my attention. â
Blaine was growing increasingly flustered. The McKinley Cheerio never failed to make his insides twist up and his fingers ache to curl into a fist he could beat against a punching bag because he secretly hated being made to feel like this. No matter how hard he tried to brush it off with nonchalance? Kurtâs attitude always busted past those carefully constructed barriers he put around his very well practiced air of confidence and self-esteem where it nipped and picked at a part of him he wished he wasnât there. Frustration twisted to anger should be easier. Come on, Blaine. Just make it happen.  âNo. I wasnât. See? Thatâs the thing Kurt. I didnât even realize you were here.â Liar.  âI wouldnât have noticed you if you didnât go out of your way to make sure I heard your discontent. So.. Who was trying to get whoâs attention? You tell me.â
text â blaine ; I definitely donât have a date to the wedding, if thatâs what you were wondering.      text â blaine ; Nor do I have a Valentine.      text â blaine ; I guess it kind of helps that heâs British.      text â blaine ; Personally, Iâm still trying to figure out whether Iâd rather be a part of team up- or downstairs. I mean, sure, Mrs. Padmoreâs cookingâs no doubt to die for, and thereâs really no beating Mrs. Hughes and Carsonâs budding romance, but thereâs something about Violet Crawley that just speaks to me.      text â blaine ; Probably because weâre the same age.Â
( mssg » kurt | sent ) Oh?  You donât..?  And, yes, I was wondering.  ( mssg » kurt | sent ) No Valentine either?  I guess that goes hand in hand with the no date for the wedding thing.  But you never know what could happen once youâre home…  ( mssg » kurt | sent ) I mean..Iâm just over the moon that I get to see you again. ( mssg » kurt | sent ) You are so Violet.  Who can argue that?  Plus!  Sheâs played by the woman who I swear is your twin separated from birth and decades apart.  đ ( mssg » kurt | sent ) Kurt..?  Is it okay if I ask you something?
text â blaine ; At least we both very much lived to tell the tale.      text â blaine ; Which is mostly casual.      text â blaine ; I mean, we have fun. But itâs really more of a friends with benefits type of situation.      text â blaine ; Mainly involving the likes of Downton Abbey.Â
( mssg » kurt | sent ) So.. Youâre not exclusive? ( mssg » kurt | sent ) Friends with benefits..? ( mssg » kurt | sent ) Ah!  Downton Abbey!  Iâve kind of fallen behind.
text â blaine ; Iâm sure itâs nothing I canât handle. I vividly remember the odd summer flu season back in 2011.      text â blaine ; Even though Iâm definitely still seeing Adam.Â
( mssg » kurt | sent ) I hope this doesnât get that bad.  It was not a good time for me. Or anyone within ten feet of my miserable self. ( mssg » kurt | sent ) Right.  Adam.  Sort of almost forgot he existed.
text â blaine ; Maybe itâs about time you finally stocked up on some of that good olâ tea and honey.      text â blaine ; When Harry Met Sally.      text â blaine ; đ
( mssg » kurt | sent ) You couldnât be any more right.  Iâll make sure to grab some on my way home from school.  Thereâs no way I want this when youâre here. ( mssg » kurt | sent )
The last thing I need is to be carting a box of Kleenex everywhere we go. How attractive is that?
( mssg » kurt | sent ) Yeah.  Exactly.  When Harry Met Sally.  ( mssg » kurt | sent )
Iâm still holding onto.. ( mssg » kurt | sent ) Donât they get together in the end..?
â Canât you just go find some place else to get your lousy cappuccino? Some of us are actually trying to socialize. â
âUm. Â Sorry. Â The last time I checked, we were in Lima, Ohio. Â There arenât many options for good coffee. Â So, no. Â I donât know why my being in line would prevent you from socializing. Other than, you know, you stopping to ask me why I am here. Â You can go back to what you were doing and ignore me while I get my drink. Â Which is a medium drip, by the way. Â NOT a cappuccino. Â Sort of a win/win for both of us then, isnât it?â
