❝ oh, GOSH, alright, you’re TOTALLY just saying that. i can keep up on the field but… i mean, you guys are the real deal, title-holders and everything. but like… would you really be willing to practice with me ? because that would actually be SUPER cool… ❞
“No! I’m not. I swear! I’d be more than happy to practice with you. Whenever you want. Let me know and we’ll make the time. Before you know it? You’re going to be on the stage with us. Just don’t let Rachel’s death glare deter you. The harder it gets? The better you’re getting. Always a good measurement of how far you’ve come.
It was funny, really. That Blaine spent all this time tip-toeing, dancing around these lines like eggshells, so cautious to do WRONG that he so often opted to do NOTHING AT ALL.
Because Elliott could take it. He was a grown man, he’d seen enough shit, and little things didn’t bother him; things so often ROLLED off his back like a duck, Elliott was good at accepting and moving forwards. The idea someone was so…CAUTIOUS around him, that someone treated his feelings as if they mattered and were BREAKABLE?
It was sweet, nobody treated him like that. EVER.
“I get it – really, I DO,” He could relate. Old habits really did DIE HARD.
Turning his face in time to catch the kiss, instead making it one full on – a proper kiss instead of something in the corner – Elliott’s hand found it’s way to Blaine’s chest, pushing him back. A gentle pressure, not trying to knock him over, just GUIDING him back until the others back was against the sink, loosely cornering him with that cheeky little grin.
“Turn around?” Elliott’s request might be odd, his hands falling down to rest at Blaine’s hips, toying idly with trouser tops, but he hoped Blaine would RETURN the earlier trust and do it.
That he would look in the mirror, like Elliott so CLEARLY wanted.
Elliott always got it. There was never a moment in their friendship or what they were now that Elliott failed to give him nothing but absolute understanding. The amount of patience and acceptance towards others mistakes, learning curves or doubts Elliott possessed was without measure. Something that made him a beyond precious gift to anyone who was lucky enough to have him in their life.
Elliott always understood. Just? Blaine, even though he infinitely appreciated him, often wished he didn’t have a single reason for Elliott to have to get anything about him. Well. This brand of getting it, anyway.
At least now? They’ve slipped into a comfortable median between the pair. Eventually? The need to get anything inthatway wouldn’t be a need at all? Where was his mind going again? Elliott turning into the kiss stole his thoughts away. Took them from where he’d been honing them in on (thankfully) and made the Earth spin faster with a simple, real kiss.
He moved with a building grin to match Elliott’s, underneath the taller man’s fingertips, Blaine’s heart began to race and the twinkle in his eye said it wasn’t necessarily for a bad reason. Being cornered like he was–welp–who would complain? Especially while looking up at the one doing the cornering. Gorgeous didn’t do Elliott justice. Never had. But it was close.
Blaine chewed against the inside of his lip at the instruction. “Okay,” he nodded anyway slowly exhaling through the touch against his waistband sending a chill up his spine as he turned and rested his back against the other’s chest. He met Elliott’s gaze in the reflection, arched a brow as if to ask if this was what he wanted.
[ text ;; blaine ] I´m the most generous person you will find in this city, Blaine. 😛 [ text ;; blaine ] Oh but can you imagine how fun it would be? You´d be a great Charlie! We could actually be on a Broadway stage together, like we´ve always dreamed! [ text ;; blaine ] And please, you know I would never say no to karaoke. In fact, we haven´t been in a while and I agree with your demand. I demand that we go out on a karaoke night and show everyone why we´re going to be the next big thing on Broadway! [ text ;; blaine ] Compliment me and the dessert´s on me. Knowing you I´m sure that won´t be a problem! 😉 [ text ;; blaine ] Of course, Blaine. I´ll always stick with you. ❤
( mssg » rachel | sent ) How could I have forgotten that? Of course you are! ( mssg » rachel | sent ) Do you think New York City is ready for us together? I think it’s about time. Don’t you? ( mssg » rachel | sent ) Let’s do it! I’m not going to be happy until we’ve shut down at least one bar. Maybe two? ( mssg » rachel | sent ) I’ll keep that in mind. Will two compliments get me a coffee with dessert, too? You know.. To wake up before we negate it with a ton of liquor. ( mssg » rachel | sent ) Same goes for me. You got me until you’re sick of me. ( mssg » rachel | sent ) Never doubt that, Miss Berry. ( mssg » rachel | sent ) So! Dinner and dessert first. Karaoke second. Taking this city by storm third? Just want to lay out the order of things so we stick to the plan. 😛
