Barry shook his head in disbelief, the card earning itself an amused chuckle no matter how many times he read the joke. “This is gonna get framed,” he promised, deciding he could not let it go to waste by stuffing it in a drawer where it would most likely never get looked at again. “And you are gonna get kissed.”
In fact, he immediately proceeded to make that promise a reality, leaving the card on his desk as he walked around it. He brought his hands up to cup Blaine’s face and leaned forward, pressing their lips together. “Happy Valentine’s Day.”
Seeing the cheesiness of the card he was almost half-embarrassed to hand over to his boyfriend win the reaction he was getting? Made the risk for the exact (such as a blank stare and complete what the hell expression) completely worth it. “I don’t know that it’s worth framing but I’ll buy you one if you think it’s that priceless of a work of art. I made it myself, you know?” His finger shot up, gesturing for Barry to pause. “I think it took hours. A true labor of–”
Their lips met and Blaine’s knees went weak. Both sets of fingers curled around Barry’s wrists as he lifted up into the kiss and swooned when it was over. “Happy Valentine’s Day. Thank you for giving me a reason to fall in love with it again.”
