Kinda Fun

kurt.

Good.  Kurt followed him the table, sat across from him and pretending he didn’t feel that shift.  He should probably explain that first.  There was a lot of differences though..  The least unnerving was probably the mood reading, lesser need for sleep, maybe focusing strengths? “I feel like I’m in a bad vampire movie- ok um…  Bare with me, I’m still new to this and no one else knows.”  He doesn’t add the yet.  He isn’t sure he wants anyone else to know, despite how bad it feels to lie to his family.

“I don’t drink blood, by the way.”  Kurt rushes to add.  “Nothing gross like that, I swear.” Unless blood lust were to hit him, which, so far it hadn’t and he was grateful.  He had a feeling Oliver might have been joking when warning him about that one though.  Asshole. Before he can continue his nervous babbling, Kurt turns his attention to his plate and shoves a bite of waffle in his mouth.  This wasn’t going very smoothly, but maybe if he keeps it up like this he’ll get Blaine to laugh at least.  That might make it worth it.

“Well.  Your secret is safe with me.  Always..”  No one else knew?  Blaine blinked as he took a seat next to Kurt.  Then again? Disappearing for months and returning the ‘way Kurt did’ wasn’t something Kurt could really explain lightly to anyone.  Hearing that the impossible was, in fact, possible was..well..he knew what finding out Kurt was could feel like.  Only the knowledge that it was Kurt breaking the news to him and confirming things that most people didn’t believe in or thought possible..nightmarish things..kept him from being utterly terrified.  Burt, Finn, Carol.

Kurt had a dream support system.  But putting them through that?  He wasn’t discrediting their acceptance. Be realistic.  ‘I’m a demon,’ is a stretch for anyone to be able to deal with. Knowing Kurt trusted him to not only keep it secret but to handle it after meant the world. Confusing as everything was.  He appreciated knowing he was the only one to know.  He laughed lowly, scrunched his nose and sighed with a small smirk trying to be as light as possible about such a morbid thing.  “That’s a relief.  I hope you weren’t going full Edward Cullen on me,” he ate a bite and washed it down before whispering, “How long will it be until you can be away from him?”
