Kinda Fun

kurt.

“Noted.”  He said, amused.  With a soft smile and eye roll that Blaine probably wouldn’t see, Kurt folded his arms and cocked his hip, the comment ‘be careful what you wish for’ dying before he even parted his lips.  It was probably best not to make demon jokes yet, especially since he hadn’t yet explained that he himself did have another body now.  Later.

“Don’t worry about it.  I was waiting for you anyway.”  He explained simply and turned to leave the room.  “I’ll be in the kitchen when you don’t smell like that anymore.”  He added with a wave of his hand over his shoulder.

It was a little strange navigating around Blaine’s kitchen, as it wasn’t something he got to do often before either.  He made do though, humming as he cooked.

‘I was waiting for you anyway.’

Blaine couldn’t help the brief pause of his quiet, protesting groans when he heard Kurt’s, simple to him but not-so-simple to Blaine, reply.  Olive fingers gripped the comforter tight, golden hazel eyes fixed firmly on an invisible forever found inside the woodgrain of the floor.  He tried to swallow the way his heart skipped a beat to chase down the question that was on the tip of his tongue.  It shouldn’t be said, shouldn’t see the light of day.  So, it was stuffed away and blocked with a nod.  Or so he pretended because it was easier that way.

He was smiling when he glanced back up again but Kurt disappeared into the hallway before he could see it.  His face was stuck like that in spite of the room going in a swirl as he stood up and quickly went for the bathroom to get a shower.

Appearing in the doorway to the kitchen as fast as taking a shower, brushing his teeth, fixing his hair and throwing on a crimson pullover, Dalton hoodie and cuffed jeans would let him, he leaned on the corner and rested his head against the wall watching the young man with a quiet observation broken up by a soft whisper, “You..um.”  A bashful smile. A pair of furrowed brows. He switched course.  “Look like you haven’t lost your knack for cooking.  Smells great.  Didn’t think I’d be able to eat after last night but my stomach says different.”
