jeff.
Jeff laughed, Blaine was happy to be here and that was something most new students weren’t. They were more cautious and weary about being away from their parents and their friends, and most importantly their homes. Jeff though he was an old pro, always being put at a school so his parents could do the things they needed to do without him being worried about. He slipped on his vans and made sure his hair was okay as he looked back up at Blaine and noticed this time the bruise on his face and wondered what had happened or what his new roommate had done to wind up with that ugly bruise on his tanned complexion.
“Yeah well the more you see the more you fall in love Dalton is a safe haven, heaven, and sometimes hell depending on which subject you hate the most” he laughed “but I’m apart of the warblers and were like a band of brothers we always make sure to be there for each other and most of the guys you’ll meet today are Warblers” he told the new guy as he grabbed his wallet and his cell phone and his dorm key. “come on let’s go see if Nicky and Trent, my friends conned a senior into coming with us” He told him.
Leading out of the room he headed down towards the commons, just before making it to the big open room he turned to the door just before it and knocked calling out in a sing-song voice“OH YEAH” and opening the door on the two boys and receiving a pillow in the face followed by “Idiot” by a brown haired boy with a smile. “Hey guys” he’d called out “meet Blaine!”
“Yeah, I can see how this place would grow on you,” he smiled giving the room another once over grabbing his brand new key too since Jeff wasn’t obligated to entertain him for a whole night. For a dorm? You could tell it came with quite the price tag attached. Just how antique was the furniture? The view out the window? What was that like? All the while, there was a building excitement at the idea of already meeting more people in a place he was hellbound determined to make work. He’d have to check out what was beyond the glass later because he was too curious about this ‘band of brothers’.
“The Warblers? Has to be something with music? Or really really passionate bird watchers..,” he grinned goofily as he followed wondering if his joke was a hit or a miss. Jeff bursting Kool-Aid Man style through the doors had Blaine hiding a laugh behind his palm, elbow bent and resting on an arm wrapped loosely around his waist as he waited to be introduced. The chuckle turned into a burst of laughter when Jeff took a pillow square to the face first.
“Ouch, you oh–.” Oops. All eyes were on him. Blaine kept somewhat behind and close to Jeff’s shoulder meeting all eyes on him with a lean. His fingers curled in a friendly wave. He tried not to look too stupefied at the room itself. At first sight? It was immaculate. Beautiful. Breath taking..and..calming–weirdly familiar feeling although he’d never seen it before–all at once. Weird, huh? “Hi guys. It’s nice to meet you. I–uh-come in peace,” he grinned at the pillow and looked back at the dark haired boy. “Don’t shoot?”
