you can’t change the past.

Blaine might still get scolded in the morning, if Sebastian could
remember he did not recognize Queer As Folk. For now, he was
satisfied with thinking he had. Every gay boy should experience
the magic that was Brian Kinney. As he got into the cab, he heard
Blaine’s curses and it made him giggle again, the reaction far from
controllable in his current state. He was pleased to find Blaine’s
shoulder after a little hesitance and just nuzzled into it, reveling on
how nice Blaine always smelled. ‘’m fine, killer.’  The answer came
a little too late. But time was a relative thing when one was drunk.
He pressed in closer, lodging his face near Blaine’s neck and
relaxed down against him. He’d fall asleep quickly if the silence
went on, but he still had enough spirit to talk again, in a mumble
before shutting up. ‘Shoulda never thrown that slush, killer.’ If he
hadn’t, maybe Blaine would have drank with him tonight and they’d
be going home for a very different reason.

Sebastian’s giggle as they settled made Blaine shake his head, lips
parting in an amused huff. Hazel eyes rolled but that bewildered
chuckle continued.  Until there was a face buried in his shoulder and
Sebastian’s murmured petname drew his attention.  His smile flinched.
Teeth worried against the inside of his bottom lip.  –What am I going
to do with you?–
One arm wrapped around the drunkard to make room
since he wasn’t done scooting closer.  The other reached across so
Blaine could reach rub between his shoulders and give one a tender
squeeze.  A poke of regret made him breathe deep.  Even if he knew
not to read much into drunken confessions–the one Sebastian laid out
with a trickle of warm breath over his skin that that sent goosebumps
along his throat–he couldn’t not feel sorry.  Sebastian’s brain picking
that memory from dozens to hone in on was unfair.  “Hey, hush.  That
was a long time ago.  We’re past it,” he lowly whispered towards
Sebastian’s jaw since that was the easiest place to see given their
current situation, “We’re good.  Get some rest.”  Their oddly patient til
now cabbie coughed to get attention.  Blaine hesitated on answering
where they were heading.  There was no way he’d leave him alone in
this state.  So?  The address to his apartment was rattled off with a
thanks.  “Still with me,” Blaine gently whispered as he rested both of
them back wondering if Sebastian heard what he said a moment
earlier.  Or if he was out already.
